Lakshmi choki

This painting is a folk art of Uttarakhand called Aipan. This is Lakshmi Chowki which comes inside Aipan Kala. Lakshmi Chowki is made in every house of Uttarakhand on Diwali. For the worship of Goddess Lakshmi, Lakshmi Chowki is made in which the feet of Goddess Lakshmi are made in the middle and aipan designs are made on the edges. Goddess Lakshmi is the goddess of wealth and she brings good fortune, that is why Lakshmi Chowki is constructed on other auspicious occasions like Diwali
